Global Venue Operators Continue To Join FANZO
The last quarter has been a hugely exciting one with 808 new out-of-home sports venues choosing to join FANZO the world over.
Here's an overview of some standout operators who've trusted us to make live sport in their venues more profitable, more measurable and less time-consuming.
United Kingdom
The last three months have seen us grow our venue network in some of the farthest reaches of the country.
In the South West of England, we were extremely proud to add one of Britain’s most significant regional pub groups, St Austell Brewery, as a customer.
“Going into 2024, making the most of live sport in our pubs was a key strategic goal for us”, said Darren Partridge, Area Manager at St Austell Brewery.
“After a successful trial of FANZO in 6 of our premium sites at the back end of 2023, we were happy to extend that to 18 of our sports venues across the South West of England.
“What we valued from the trial was that FANZO’s service enables our site team to grow demand for live sport in their pubs - it helps them get the word out about what we’re showing and get people through the door.
“Being able to quickly generate site-specific POS for events they are showing, as well as the opportunity to run competitions around sport for customers are also real benefits.”
At the other end of the country, The Scotsman Group signed up 4 venues across Glasgow and Edinburgh.
This includes The Committee Room, Golf Tavern, Biddy Mulligans plus the capital city’s iconic courtyard and live entertainment venue, The Three Sisters.
Experiential specialists Boom Battle Bars were another significant group customer acquisition, bringing 19 sites onto our platform.
Not just exceptional destinations for watching live sport, they combine classic pub pastimes such as pool and darts with modern activities like axe throwing, beer pong, crazy golf and shuffleboard to offer a unique entertainment package for group socialising.
Steve Hazon, Head of Operations for Boom Battle Bars, explained some of the key benefits they’ve enjoyed since using FANZO to power their website’s sports listings.
“The platform gives each site autonomy to decide which sporting events are going to resonate most with their local audience whilst saving our web team hours as they no longer have to manually update 30+ site’s sport pages.”
Finally, Aspers Casinos have added 3 of their dedicated sports bars, offering sports fans keen to watch sports from around the world valuable choice.
“Given the soaring popularity of the UFC and the purple patch of high-profile boxing bouts we’re seeing right now, great sports venues able to show fixtures with US start times are in high demand right now, said Daryl Campbell, Head of Sales GB& Ireland at FANZO.
“We’re thrilled to add Aspers to FANZO and give sports fans more of that choice for the biggest late-night fights, matches and races.”
France
In France, hundreds of venues have received the support of European broadcasting heavyweight Canal+.
In an increasingly competitive broadcaster market, the French TV giant wanted to find ways they could best support their commercial customers to increase footfall and improve marketing efficiency, and drive loyalty through their sports marketing.
As a result, Canal+ are funding FANZO subscriptions for 450 of the best out-of-home sports venues in the country, helping them make the most of a huge year for sport in France as the Olympic games follow a successful Rugby World Cup.
Australia
A major player in the Australian hospitality industry, The Sporting Globe brought 22 venues onto our platform down under, across Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia.
Their bar and grill sites are renowned for the quality of their live sports offering with the group winning Best Sports Bar in both Queensland and Victoria at the 2022 Australian Hotels Association awards.
Italy
Finally, an incredibly warm welcome to our first-ever Italian venue, The Blues Canal in Milan and their assistant manager, Francesco Gabriele.
We were blown away by Francesco’s passion for the live sport, his love of the product and the quality of his feedback. So much so that we made the FANZO product available in Italy for the first time.
It’s already proved invaluable in helping to shape our strategy for growing our customer base amongst the best independent sports bars in southern, central and eastern Europe. Watch this space…
Meanwhile in America...
Towards the end of 2023 we were delighted to sign a major deal to take FANZO's technology to the USA.
From this spring, more than 12,000 out-of-home venues will get access to the best sports marketing tools available for commercial premises through an exciting partnership. More details next time.
